About Alex
I am a Chartered Physiotherapist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, and have more than 15 years experience in musculoskeletal assessment, treatment and management in both the NHS and Private sectors.
I am a 'hands-on' physio treating all types of pain and dysfunction, including injury, trauma rehabilitation, tendinopathy, surgical recovery, chronic pain and postural pain. I use a host of treatment techniques such as joint mobilisation/manipulation, soft-tissue release, shockwave therapy, acupuncture, kinesiology taping, exercise rehabilitation and ultrasound. Each patient is treated according to their specific needs and all treatment recommendations are discussed prior to commencing.
I have a keen interest in sports injuries, which led to completing a Post Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy from the University of Bath and volunteering as a Lead Physiotherapist at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and more recently again at the Birmingham 2022 Games. I have worked with both amateur and elite athletes across a variety of sports, particularly running, triathlon, rugby, football, swimming, golf, volleyball, netball and athletics.

When not working, I can be found on the volleyball court, having started playing at University, or running my two sons around to football, cricket or swimming sessions. I am never really off-duty!
I am always happy to have a chat and discuss your needs, so please get in touch if you have any questions.
